As someone whose mother lenguage is spanish (so sorry if my grammar is messed up at times LOL) I hate how Vivziepop uses spanish on her shows, because despite being so proud of her latina heritage or whatever she for sure doesnt know a damn about the lenguage nor has done a proper research at all.

For example, maybe Einglish speakers havent noticed it, but I can assure you that whenever Vaggie or Vassago speak spanish they say the most basic and generic swears ever. Swears like "hijo de puta" and "cabrón" aren't as impressive as Viv thinks they are. In fact many of us hear those words so frequently that sometimes they aren't even considered insults depending in the context and/or the country you are in.

Spanish is a extremely diverse lenguage that variates a lot from place to place. This means that every hispanic country has a different accent, different words and terms (to the point that a word with a certain meaning in one country can mean something completely different in another) and of course, very different and creative insults. But of course Vivziepop has to reduce my lenguage into a tasteless traslation of the same USAmerican insults that all of her characters use, and then pat herself in the back for being sooo inclusive 😮‍💨.

Actually, you are right Anon about Vivziepop not knowing or speaking Spanish. She actually admits it in a 2017, archived livestream.

Lit almost all of the POC characters have grey skin. I mean the clossest ones are prob Sera and Carmila's daughter.

Plus Velvette is just a stereotype of the aggresive black woman, Carmila and Vaggie are angry Latinas and Vaggie is also the stereotype of an aggressive lesbian who hates men.

Ik Vaggie is an executioner and heaven born, but we hear her speak spanish so i included her.

I didn't include Husk or Niffty, since i can't judge Husk much due to him being a cat. Plus Niffty is white as a sheet of paper, but her real stereotype is an Yandere Japanese girl.

Yes, the parents shouldn't bring their kid to a Helluva convention, but the VAs aren't scot-free either.

The kid asks about the character's favorite animal, and instead of being normal, they think it'll be "funny" to respond with a sex joke.🤦‍♀️

Every adult in that convention was irresponsible and deserved the backlash.

Jax Has Crossedressed More Times Than Angel Dust

Seriously pre-series a major party of his character was cross dressing, but we never seen him do it in season one which again makes me think that despite making him wear feminine stuff his crossdresser shenanigans have been downplayed. Kind of sad that a character that wasn't sold on it does it more than him.

My Twitter timeline just brought me the Helluva Boss crew at GalaxyCon, and I already knew about it thanks to Chai talking about it. But I need to throw in my two cents.

The adults in this situation fucking suck. The parents shouldn’t have brought their kid to a con centered around adult shows. The staff should’ve made this panel 18+. And most egregiously—the cast. Why are you making sex jokes in response to a simple question???

Oh, and they literally said, “Guys, we aren’t going viral again.” So it seems like they did that shit on purpose.

Brushing aside that second part (I mean it's technically true), HH's Lucifer doesn't look like a devil. At all. Seriously, if you showed him to somebody who'd never heard of Hazbin, I doubt they'd be able to guess that he's the Devil.

I agree with the first part entirely (step on me mommy) but like, how do we know she's evil? She's been onscreen for fifteen seconds tops and hasn't had a single spoken line. Or is it just an educated guess because Viv hates women?

Would the rest of you guys have a problem if I said this one was accurate? I fully support women's rights and women's wrongs, but you gotta draw the line at genocide.

ok now, this miiight be more of a silly nitpick so forgive me in-advance, but?? one line that lowkey always stumped me from the balcony scene in s2 ep1 was stolas going to stella: "-why are you still here? you take via on weekends but come back in spite of everything?"... like, wut? its not like him & stella are already-divorced/ (+stella is one of those clingy lingering ex-types)... stolas IS still married to her so like, wouldn't it technically be her *right* to live there/come home whenever??

(And if she doesn't have some claim over the house, that only racks up more sympathy points in her favor. It suggests Stolas really does have all the power in the relationship and she has zero.)

One thing i wanna say about the millie pregnancy plot we're gonna get in the show, i really don't care if M&M are gonna have a baby, I'm just praying that if the show does choose to have the baby exist that they don't pull the "baby cries 24/7 because crying funnyyy!!!" trope. It's such a fucking annoying trope for me and just gives me sensory overload, I'd honestly settle for the baby just not caring about anything trope over that one.

Fair! It can be funny depending on the execution and the writing but the trope does overstays its welcome.

You Know I Think This Image Of Jax Shows What Angel Dust Could Have Been

When Hazbin Hotel was still in it's pilot era I kind of wished we see Angel Dust open up more as a jerk but had complex depth to him. He was both a victim but also there was a reason he ended up in hell. He had bite to him despite being under Val's thumb and while he did sex jokes it did feel he could ease them when it didn't need them. Now he's kind of a flanderized into a uwu baby victim who does nothing but spout innuendos while barely interacting with the cast and feels flat. Also they use his victim status to deflect from being condemned for his sexual harassing behavior which has made many feel less sympathy for him.

Jax for the most part has shown himself to be a jerk character who gradually opens up he has more depth to him by still being a jerk but it's obvious something is bubbling inside. He's not coddled for being a jerk, but it's obvious how much of a coping mechanism it has become for him especially when we are shown the room of his former abstracted friend. Jax is really a character that I wished that Angel Dust could have become as he stayed at the hotel which is make friends and bond with people, especially if he butt heads with. It's something that Glitch made a character voiced by Michael Kovach and pushed him to his full potential that Vivziepop could never dream of.

Ok so i saw a post mentioning how Spindlehorse was hiring animators again, and i thought "huh yknow im really curious what the turnover rate of animators is in this studio" because i mean its a genuine question considering how i swear theyre hiring new animators every other week

So then i checked IMDB...

Before i go on i wanna put some context because its kinda needed for what im about to say:

On IMDB there's a section of the cast and crew page labeled "Series Animation Department". This is the section meant primarily for animators and storyboarders among other jobs in the same vein.

Now. Can you guess how many animators/storyboarders Helluva Boss has gone through in less than 2 seasons?

444.

That is four hundred and forty-four individual credits, a majority of whom didn't stay for any longer than a few episodes. I have never in my life seen an animator turnover rate this skewed.

But i saw this and i went "well it cant be that bad right, what about other shows?" because admittedly i didnt know a lot about animation so for all i knew this was normal. So i went to the IMDB pages of other animated shows

RWBY: 164 credited animators over 9 seasons

Murder Drones: 11 Animators over 7 episodes

The Owl House: 88 Animators over 3 seasons

Amphibia: 73 over 3 seasons

Steven Universe: 44 over 5 seasons

And just to be fair let's include Hazbin Hotel, which had 62 in 1 season

This means that for one reason or another Helluva Boss has gone through more animators in less than 2 seasons than shows that ran for SIGNIFICANTLY longer go through in their entire lifespan by several times and that astounds me
